Lymphatic Therapy

Lymphatic Wellness Therapy is a very gentle therapy that has been found to deliver amazing results. By using the Lymphar Pro Fushion instrument along with manual lymphatic facilitation techniques the lymph moves along specific pathways designed by nature to assist the body in healing itself. .

Manual lymphatic drainage as developed by Emil and Estrid Vodder continues to be a highly effective at reducing disorders related to the  lymphatic system. The manual technique on its own is very time consuming. In the last 15-20 years technology has been added to facilitate the breaking up of trapped proteins and at the Center for Lymphatic Wellness  we use a combination of methods to move things along in a more efficient manner.  The Lymphstar Pro and the Lymphstar Pro Fushion have been proven to be a safe and effective therapeutic tool.

The Lymphstar technology is a vibrational energy technology. As such it emits “information” to the energy field of the cells via  light frequencies and sound harmonics. It produces this information by way of something called “noble gas ionization.” There is a long tradition of research into the energetic effects of these noble gases. An optimal mixture of xenon and argon is enclosed in Pyrex glass tube. The gases are excited by electrical current. An energy field, or plasma, then radiates from the tube onto the skin and is conducted through the entire bio-energy system. Proteins are re-polarized causing retained fluid and congested areas to FLOW. Stagnation is reversed and the lymph system is now free to perform its cleansing functions!

The Lymphstar  is applied by placing the transmission head, or heads on the skin – this is about 15-20% of the actual session with the manual drainage still being the primary portion.

Therapeutic Technique

The lymphatic system is a central component of the immune system and protects the body by draining and filtering out waste. Anything we can do to encourage vital and active lymph drainage is an important component of health. The causes of lymphatic congestion range from injuries, surgery, inactivity, poor diet, to emotional/stress states, environmental toxins, hormone imbalance  and normal aging processes. When this state occurs the blockages cause a backup in the flow of lymphatic fluid, resulting in swelling or edema in the tissues and in various kinds of “symptoms.” Consequently, toxic waste matter cannot effectively be released from the body, nor can the immune system function at optimum performance. The result is a wide range of dysfunction and disease.

The sessions usually run from 60-90 minutes. The first session includes an in depth client evaluation and consulation followed by a complete 90 minute session.  From there we decide together what  would be appropriate for any future sessions.

Our clients  range from healthy individuals wishing to create or maintain their best immune system to those who have had surgery with lymph nodes removed or received injuries creating new pathways for the the lymph to drain.  Lymphatic Wellness Therapy is also a wonderful adjunct to surgery, including plastic surgery both before and after for help with healing and minimal scarring. If it does not drain into the larger pathways it may  create a back up and excess lymphatic fluid causing pain and discomfort leading to lymphedema. It is our desire to correct the flow before this happens and assist the body in self healing before surgeries are required. However, if surgery does need to happen then Lymphatic Wellness Therapy before and after the surgery has been found to accelerate the healing process.

Currently the center is located in a residential office, a separate studio with private bath, overlooking an avocado orchard. As we are growing we have been looking for office space but have not yet been able to find anything as lovely. This is a place time has forgotten and looks much the same as it has for 60 years. Truly a relaxing experience.

The Center is licensed through the city of Ventura.

At the CENTER FOR LYMPHATIC WELLNESS we focus on the prevention of disease.
